I fully recommend trying one of James' self-defence courses. They are well structured, tailored to the group of people that attend, very informative and hugely enjoyable. People of any age, fitness or ability can attend and be completely at ease. I persuaded my husband to come with me and although he was reluctant in the beginning he enjoyed it so much we signed up for another course as soon as the first one ended! I will certainly be taking my daughters to his classes now that he runs junior courses so that they can also learn sensible strategies to avoid potentially dangerous situations while having a LOT of fun at the same time.
